Big Data Test Coordinator for Alpharetta, GA

Job Summary: Reporting directly to a Programme Test Manager, you will lead a Test delivery of Big Data project. You will be responsible to manage all testing activities. Project team is based out of Alpharetta and you will be expected to work very closely with project team.

·         At least 10+ years of QA experience as a Test Manager in delivering big projects in IT industry.
·         Experience of Testing Big Data projects
·         Experience of testing Data Analytics tools
·         Experience of preparing Big data test plan
·         Experience of managing Big Data automation plan
·         A strong understanding of testing and automation technologies from both a technical and business perspective, specifically Test specifications and Test Reports.
·         Use of defect tracking systems and version control systems  
Technical Skills:
·         Good Knowledge on Hadoop framework
·         Good Knowledge on Extracting and loading of source files to HDFS
·         Good Knowledge on how Map/reduce process works and
·         Good knowledge of analytical tools such as Tibco Spotfire and Tableau Server and Desktop
·         Good knowledge of Map/reduce processes
·         Good knowledge of statistical modelling packages such as IBM SPSS and Enterprise R
·         Good Understanding of dataset layout leading practices in Hadoop
·         Good understanding of text analytics processes
·         Plan and manage delivery of all testing activities for Big Data project
·         Develop Test Approach / Plan and measure progress and performance against plan
·         ssist with or where appropriate take responsibility of preparing status reporting, test cases, Test execution, test readiness reviews, post-implementation reviews
·         Where appropriate review and approve test cases ensuring alignment with standards
·         Ensure that all system tests are successfully completed and documented and all problems are resolved
·         Determine the appropriate quality initiatives to implement during each phase of the system development life cycle
·         Assist in the development of quality assurance and testing policies, standards and procedures
·         Where appropriate advise and support User Acceptance Testing
·         Where appropriate manage Team workload, performance and delivery targets
·         Develop and maintain strong working relationships with other IT Services functions and customers to expedite delivery of IT solutions
·         Support Programme Test Manager in upward stakeholder management and day-to-day management of the Quality Assurance & Testing organization
·         Work closely with off-shore teams and third party vendors to deliver projects to time, cost and quality requirements
·         Provide technical guidance and expertise to team members, colleagues and/or customers
·         Drive continuous process improvement.
